Welcome to the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults (Senior Center) where all our "Young at Heart" seniors gather for an abundance of activities! We offer delicious low-cost meals, plenty of smiling faces, and an activity to suit any personality. Coronavirus Coronavirus - Closures and Cancellations
We are currently experiencing uncertain times and we have an obligation to protect our most vulnerable citizens.  As such, following the directive of Governor Mike DeWine and in an attempt to limit exposure to COVID-19, we are forced to make difficult decisions to cancel some of our events and programs and close several facilities. 
Giant Eagle Announces Special Hours
Giant Eagle is making some changes to help provide easier access to shoppers over 60 years old, have disabilities or who are immune-compromised.  Starting Monday, March 23, 2020, Giant Eagle will open at 6 AM on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to accommodate those individuals until further notice.  The general public is welcome to shop starting at 7 AM until close at 9 PM each day.  This is subject to change; please feel free to contact the North Ridgeville Giant Eagle at (440) 327-1901. 
Take A Trip Down Memory Lane Take A Trip Down Memory Lane
We are still looking for teams or individuals to play along with the area Senior Centers in "Memory Lane Trivia." The other Senior Centers are Westlake, North Olmsted, Bay Village, Fairview Park and Rocky River; each facility hosts a day of trivia and is played 1:30 -3:30 PM (2 hours).

Dr. Thomas Emmert, Podiatrist of Total Foot Care, will offer a Foot Clinic at the Senior Center on May 13 and June 3 between 8-11:00 AM (if the Stay-At-Home Order is lifted). Patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If it is your first visit, please contact Dr. Emmert's office at 216-529-1800 to insure they have the necessary information.  
exercise Get Fit! Exercise Class
Enjoy a morning class of fun exercises to loosen, tone and strengthen those muscles. Join our Fitness Instructor, Diane Mehlman, for class Mondays from 9-9:50 AM. All exercises can be done to meet your ability and strengths. All exercisers will need a set of 2 or 3# weights, stretch bands and a bottle of water. Cost is $32.00 per 6 week session. First class is free - stop in and try it!  Session 3: May 11-June 22, 2020 (no class on May 25) with registration deadline May 8, 2020.  Session 4: June 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27 & August 3 with registration deadline June 26, 2020.

Come and learn some fancy footwork while having tons of fun with your fellow classmates.  Beginner and intermediate sessions available.  Sessions are six weeks at a cost of $25. Instructor is Ronna Murray. Beginner session is 11:50 AM-12:50 PM and Intermediate 1-2 PM.  Spring Session: May 5, 19, 26; June 2, 9, 16 - no class May 12. 
Music Bingo Music Bingo

Looking for a fun afternoon? Come and play Music Bingo with Ken or Jack of Music Bingo Ohio. This is a fun way to play bingo. They provide bingo sheets with song titles and you have to match the song when it is played to form a bingo for prizes! Very similar to “Name That Tune”, but you already have the title on the bingo sheet! Plan on coming for a delicious lunch served at noon for $4.00 and stay for bingo! Reservations required for lunch by calling 440-353-0828. 
 
Wii Sports Wii Sports
Wii Sports is becoming a popular sport at the Senior Center.  Every Monday from 12:30-2 PM join in the fun!  Upcoming sports include Golf from October 7-November 25 and December 16 is Fun Day, Wii Guilty Party Game! Be detectives and solve the mystery. All are welcome; you may form teams and register as a team. If individual, you will be placed into a blind draw team. Golden Buckeye Card Information image Golden Buckeye Card Information
Participation in the Golden Buckeye program is free to all Ohio residents who are: age 60 or over; age 18-59 with a Social Security Administration defined disability.  
Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays image Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays
Are you interested in art or just enjoy painting freestyle?  Our watercolor enthusiasts gather for painting and fun on Wednesday mornings and would love to have you join their group. If interested, just bring your paints and stop by the Senior Center any Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM.

If you are interested in joining the fun group that meets on Wednesdays for an afternoon of fellowship and fun from 12:30-4 PM, please call (440) 353-0835.  
Euchre and Pinochle Weekly Card Games image Euchre and Pinochle Weekly Card Games
Cards are played on Thursdays at 12 noon except on Super Thursdays when all card games begin at 1:30 PM. Join in the fun each week from noon until 4 PM.  Refreshments will be served. 
Monday Crafts image Monday Crafts
Everyone is welcome to come on Mondays from 10 AM-2 PM to join in the fun, fellowship and the making of special crafts. Bring your ideas or share in ours. A soup lunch including beverage is available for $.35 at noon. 
Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday image Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday

“Mahjongg” is an Ancient Chinese Tile Game. This group meets every Thursday at 12 noon (except on Super Thursdays) and always welcomes new members. If you've never played, we offer instruction as to how to play the game. A player's card is required for a small fee.

The Senior Center will be hosting Puzzle Exchange the last Tuesday of each month from 11 AM-12:00 PM. 
Blood Pressure Checks image Blood Pressure Checks
Walk in and have your blood pressure checked by one of our friendly retired volunteer nurses on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 10 AM-noon at the Senior Center. The is no charge for this service and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
