Welcome to the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults (Senior Center) where all our "Young at Heart" seniors gather for an abundance of activities! We offer delicious low-cost meals, plenty of smiling faces, and an activity to suit any personality. Please stop by and pick up one of our brochures and/or newsletters to find out what we are all about.  We would love to see you!

Men's Breakfast Men's Breakfast Schedule
It’s a wonderful morning of friendship at our Men’s Breakfast. If you are 55 or older, join us at 9 AM for a hot entrée, coffee, fruit cup, and juice are all included for the $3.00 price. It’s a fun-filled morning of good food, fellowship and a wonderful speaker or entertainment. To make reservations, please call (440) 353-0828 by 10 AM Wednesday morning.  
Ladies Brunch Ladies Brunch Schedule
Ladies brunch is held monthly and includes entertainment along with a hot entrée, fruit, juice and coffee for only $3.
Walking Warriors Walking Warriors Every Tuesday
Join our Walking Warriors every Tuesday morning at 10 AM.  We will take a nice walk around South Central Park. Meet at the center and sign in, then we will cross the street as a group. Feel free to bring a friend or come alone and make some new ones!  All levels of fitness are welcome. You can go at your own pace. Call the front desk at (440) 353-0828 to let us know you are coming so we don’t leave anyone behind.
Reading Buddies Reading Buddies
The Senior Center is partnering with Parks & Recreation and the library for a reading buddies program. The program pairs an older adult with one or two youth participating in our Parks and Recreation Summer Adventure Camp.
Super Thursday Super Thursdays are Back!
Super Thursdays are back!  Check out the entertainment planned for April 28 and June 30, 2022.
Taco and Trivia Tuesday Taco and Trivia Tuesday!
Come with a team or form one at the event. Lunch will be served at noon and trivia will start at 12:30 p.m. The cost per person is $4.00. We will make it mild so if you want it spicy, bring your own hot sauce! Please RSVP by Monday at noon if you will be having lunch with us. If you are just joining us for trivia, reservations are not required. Please call the front desk at 440-353-0828. July and August dates are as follows: Tuesdays, July 5, July 19; Tuesdays, August 16 and August 30. 
Tai Chi Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention And Tai Chi Balance
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention and Tai Chi Balance with Michael W. Stadul will be held on Thursdays from July 7, 2022 through August 11, 2022 from 9:30-11:00 AM.  Cost is $42 for a six-week session. Register by July 5, 2022.
Tickle Your Funny Bone Tickle Your Funny Bone Tuesday
Looking for a good laugh?  Join us on July 12, 2022 as Joel Keller presents "Funny You Should Ask...Rolling In the Aisles, a Dangerous Activity for Senior Adults."  The program begins at 11 AM with lunch to follow. RSVP by calling (440) 353-0828 by July 8, 2022. Cost is $5. 
CardioDance CardioDance Is A Hit!
We are happy to announce that instructor, Carrie will be back on Tuesdays beginning July 5 through August 9, 2022 and August 16 through September 20, 2022 for a new CardioDance session. The 6-week sessions will be $30 per person. Payments can be made in cash or check made payable to NR Office for Older Adults. Registration can be done in person up until July 5 for session one and August 16 for session two. Please call (440) 353-0828 for more information.
senior lunch and bingo Senior Lunch and Bingo Every Wednesday
Midweek social is a lot of fun with lunch, cards and/or bingo!  On Wednesdays come at noon for a delicious hot lunch served from 12:00-12:15 PM to include an entrée, dessert and beverage for $4. Reservations are required by calling (440) 353-0828 by noon on Tuesday.
Play Ball Field Trip: Lake Erie Crushers Game, July 13, 2022
Join us for a day at the ballpark! The bus will depart the Senior Center at 10:10 AM for the 11:05 AM for the Crushers game, and will return around 2:30 PM (20 minutes after the conclusion of the game). The cost is $12 and includes your ticket, hot dog, chips, beverage, and transportation. A limited number of spaces are available. Reserve your spot beginning July 1st at 8:00 a.m. by calling (440) 353-0828.
Luau Grandparents' Day Luau, July 26, 2022
The Senior Center is partnering with Parks & Recreation summer camp to celebrate grandparents and grandparent-figures. This luau themed event will be held on July 26, 2022 from 10-11:30 AM at South Central Park, Pavilion 1 and will include a group luau dance, contests for the kids judged by the grandparents, and a cake walk. A luncheon of hot dogs, potato salad, and fruit salad will be provided. The activity is FREE, but we do ask that you RSVP by calling (440) 353-0828.
Lakeview Cemetery Field Trip: Lakeview Cemetery, August 5, 2022
Enjoy a guided tour of the famous and historic cemetery.  Lakeview Cemetery is located near University Circle. The van will depart the Senior Center at 9:00 AM for the 10:00 AM tour. After the tour, enjoy lunch at Guarino’s in Little Italy. The fee is $10, which covers the cost of the tour and transportation—lunch is on your own. Registration will begin on July 11, 2022 at 8:00 AM and space is limited.
Produce Stand Tours Produce Stand Tours, August 8, 24, 2022
Produce Stand Tours will take place on August 8 and August 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM. We will tour Willie’s, Gerhart’s, and Redbarn produce stands—the three partner with Heart & Sole for summer produce bags. You will have an opportunity to purchase fresh, locally-grown produce and talk with the growers. Tours last approximately two hours and each participant will receive a produce buck to spend at the stands. The Senior Center van will depart at 1:45 PM from the Senior Center. Olympics Intergenerational Olympics, August 9, 2022
Based on the success of our Intergenerational Winter Olympics, we are holding a summer Olympics event on August 9, 2022 at 10 AM-12 Noon. Youth and older adults will form teams for a fun competition of activities such as chair volleyball and Olympic Jeopardy! Sign up with a youth in your life as a team, or sign up on your own. There will be an opening ceremony and live commentary of the event! RSVP at (440) 353-0828. A boxed lunch will be provided. This event is FREE!
Ice Cream Social Ice Cream Social, August 15, 2022
What does your balance system and an ice cream sundae have in common? Join our friends from Brookdale Home Health on August 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM for an Ice Cream Social. Delicious ice cream will be provided FREE of charge. Please RSVP by calling (440) 353-0828.
Total Foot Care Foot Clinic
Dr. Thomas Emmert, Podiatrist of Total Foot Care, will be at the Center on August 31, 2022 at 9 AM.  Appointments are on a first come first served basis by signing in at the front desk upon your arrival. If this is your first visit with the doctor, it is recommended that you contact Dr. Emmert's office at 216-529-1800 to insure they have the necessary information.  The cost of the clinic is usually covered by Medicare and supplemental insurance.  
Free Blood Pressure Screening Blood Pressure Checks
Blood pressure checks are available on the first Wednesday of every month from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Please stop in and see our lovely volunteer nurses. If you have your blood pressure logs or cards please bring them with you. 
Red Hat Society Red Hat Society
The Red Hat Society meets once a month at the Senior Center for fun and fellowship. If you are interested in becoming a Red Hatter, please call the front desk at (440) 353-0828 or contact Johanna at (440) 748-9777. Meetings start at 2:00 PM. Upcoming meetings include July 12 and August 9, 2022.

Be sure to check out our updated Magazine & Book Nook Library, offering books and magazines for reading. Feel free to take something home, just return it when you are done.

Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday image Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday

“Mahjongg” is an Ancient Chinese Tile Game. This group meets every Thursday at 12 noon (except on Super Thursdays) and always welcomes new members. If you've never played, we offer instruction as to how to play the game. A player's card is required for a small fee.

Are you interested in art or just enjoy painting freestyle?  Our watercolor enthusiasts gather for painting and fun on Wednesday mornings and would love to have you join their group. Participation in the Golden Buckeye program is free to all Ohio residents who are: age 60 or over; age 18-59 with a Social Security Administration defined disability. 
Puzzle Exchange image Puzzle Exchange
The Senior Center will be hosting Puzzle Exchange the last Tuesday of each month from 11 AM-12:00 PM. Puzzled by what to do with those completed puzzles? Bring your stack of completed puzzles (limit of 3) and exchange with others or you are welcome to take as many as you'd like.
