Welcome to the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults (Senior Center) where all our "Young at Heart" seniors gather for an abundance of activities! We offer delicious low-cost meals, plenty of smiling faces, and an activity to suit any personality. Please stop by and pick up one of our brochures and/or newsletters to find out what we are all about.  We would love to see you!

spaghetti dinner Spaghetti Dinners Are Back!
We welcome you all back to the Senior Center for the Spaghetti Dinners from 5-7 PM: September 24, 2021 sponsored by the Lions Club and October 29, 2021 sponsored by VFW Post 9871. Enjoy our famous meal of spaghetti, sauce and meatballs, garlic bread and salad. Adults $7.00, Seniors $6.00 and Children 10 and under $4.00; dessert $1.00, pop $.50 extra and carry out is available. Pre-sale tickets will be available beginning on September 8, 2021 at the Senior Center reception desk.  
Walking Warriors Walking Warriors Every Tuesday
Join our Walking Warriors every Tuesday morning at 10 AM.  We will take a nice walk around South Central Park. Meet at the center and sign in, then we will cross the street as a group. Feel free to bring a friend or come alone and make some new ones!  All levels of fitness are welcome. You can go at your own pace. Call the front desk at 440-353-0828 to let us know you are coming so we don’t leave anyone behind.
Men's Breakfast Men's Breakfast Schedule
It's a wonderful morning of friendship at our Men's Breakfast. If you are 55 or older, join us at 9 AM for a hot entrée, coffee, fruit cup, and juice are all included for the $3.00 price. It’s a fun filled morning of good food, fellowship and a wonderful speaker or entertainment. Please make reservations by calling 440-353-0828 by 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning. The schedule is as follows: September 16, 2021 and October 14, 2021 - Entertainment TBD.
Ladies Brunch Ladies Brunch Schedule
Ladies meet at 10:30 AM for friendly conversation and a program on Thursdays once a month. The brunch consists of a hot entrée, fruit, juice and coffee for $3.00. Please make reservations by 10 AM on Wednesday morning by calling (440) 353-0828.  The schedule is as follows: September 23, 2021 - Women in History, Ruth Ettig; October 21, 2021 - Entertainment TBD. 
Taco and Trivia Tuesday Taco and Trivia Tuesday!
Join us on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 and October 5, 2021 at 11:30 AM for a taco salad lunch. Trivia will start at 12:30 PM and the cost per person is $4.00 We will make it mild so if you want it spicy, bring your own hot sauce!  RSVP by calling (440) 353-0828.

senior lunch and bingo Senior Lunch and Bingo Every Wednesday
Midweek social is a lot of fun with lunch, cards and/or bingo!  On Wednesdays, starting September 15th come at 11:30 AM for a delicious hot lunch to include an entrée, dessert and beverage for $4 followed by bingo at 12:30 PM. Reservations are required by calling 440-353-0828 by noon on Tuesday. 
Adaptive Movement Yoga Adaptive Movement: Class Session September 27-November 1, 2021
Each 60-minute class we will explore various yoga type movements using props such as mats, chairs, blocks, and straps for support while cultivating mindful awareness of the breath and promoting relaxation of the body, mind and spirit. Registration deadline is September 22, 2021.
Memories of the school days Memories of the School Days, September 28, 2021
Come and share some memories from your school days on Thursday, September 28, 2021 at 10 AM. With school back in session, what better time to reminisce about your favorite memories from your school days. Who was your favorite teacher? What games did you play at recess? Where were you when you met your best friend from school? Join us in an activity to bring back those school memories and share some of your favorites. History of Music in the 1960's History of Music in the 1960's - October 13, 2021
Join us for lunch on October 13, 2021 at 11:30 AM for breaded chicken, seasoned mashed potatoes and green beans and a far out dessert for $4 per person.  Then, enjoy the program "History of Music in the 1960's" with Dr. Joel Keller.  Please call for reservations at (440) 353-0828 no later than Tuesday, October 12, 2021. 
A Matter of Balance A Matter of Balance, October 12-November 30, 2021
A Matter of Balance session will run Tuesdays from October 12 through November 30, 2021 from 9:30 AM until11:30 AM.  A Matter of Balance is a nationally recognized program that reduces fear of falling and increases activity levels. This holistic program examines and brings awareness to factors that may impact your balance and fall risk, such as medications that cause dizziness, vision, and safety at home.  Registration closes October 1, 2021.  Minimum of 8 participants are needed to hold this class. Call (440) 353-0828 to sign up. 
Halloween Party Halloween Party, October 28, 2021
Don your spookiest costume and join us for the Halloween Party on October 28, 2021 at 10:30 AM for some frightfully fun and scary games followed by lunch of home style GOULash, green beans and garlic rolls. A spooky treat for dessert will top off our festivities. $5 per person. Reservations are a must! Please call the front desk at (440) 353-0828 no later than Monday, October 25, 2021. Cards and Mahjongg will start at 1:00 PM.
Diabetes Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP), November 8-24, 2021
The Diabetes Empowerment Education Program workshop will run Mondays and Wednesdays November 8 through November 24, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. This workshop helps pre-diabetic and diabetic participants take control of their disease and reduce the risk of complications. DEEP is fun and interactive, with hands on learning. Registration closes October 25, 2021.  Minimum of 3 participants are needed to hold this class.  Call (440) 353-0828 to sign up for the workshop.
Free Blood Pressure Screening Blood Pressure Checks
Blood pressure checks will resume on September 1, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Please stop in and see our lovely volunteer nurses. If you have your blood pressure logs or cards please bring them with you. Blood pressure checks will be available on the first Wednesday of every month.
Total Foot Care Foot Clinic
Dr. Thomas Emmert, Podiatrist of Total Foot Care, will resume Foot Clinics at the Senior Center starting in January 2022.  He's seeing patients in his Lakewood office.   Please contact Dr. Emmert's office at 216-529-1800 to schedule an appointment.  The cost of the clinic is usually covered by Medicare and supplemental insurance.

Participation in the Golden Buckeye program is free to all Ohio residents who are: age 60 or over; age 18-59 with a Social Security Administration defined disability. 
Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays image Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays
Are you interested in art or just enjoy painting freestyle?  Our watercolor enthusiasts gather for painting and fun on Wednesday mornings and would love to have you join their group. Everyone is welcome to come on Mondays from 10 AM-2 PM to join in the fun and the making of special crafts. Bring your ideas or share in ours. Bring your own bag lunch and share fellowship and other seasonal activities after lunch. 
Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday image Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday

“Mahjongg” is an Ancient Chinese Tile Game. This group meets every Thursday at 12 noon (except on Super Thursdays) and always welcomes new members. If you've never played, we offer instruction as to how to play the game. A player's card is required for a small fee.
