City of North Ridgeville

Meet the Staff

Emily Lockshine, Director
A human services professional with 20+ years’ experience in program development and evaluation, Emily has been the Director of the Office for Older Adults since July 2021. Since coming on board, her focus has been to augment the programs and events already in place, with a special emphasis on health & wellness programming. She is an active member of the Lorain County Senior Network, the Lorain County Coalition for Quality Aging, North Ridgeville Heart & Sole and the Council for Older Persons (COOP). What she enjoys most about working in North Ridgeville is the great sense of community. Emily has two grown children in college and when not working, you can find her running, biking, practicing yoga, exploring the National Parks or playing trivia.

Kitty Wawszkiewicz, Case Manager

Kitty has dedicated the past 33 years to meeting the needs of the older adult population, a calling that she finds greatly rewarding. When not working, she enjoys traveling, and collecting antiques with her husband, and feels lucky to be blessed with a son, daughter-in-law and three amazing grandsons.

Stacey Allen, Activities Coordinator
Stacey joined the office as the Activities Coordinator in early 2023. Stacey grew up in Lorain County and brings 30 years of experience leading programs and outings around Northeast Ohio. She is planning to add outings to explore both the natural and cultural history of the area as well as offering some crafting classes. Stacey spends a lot of her free time doing fiber arts like knitting and spinning or training her dog for Rally competitions.

Tess Dietrich, Volunteer Coordinator/Meals on Wheels Coordinator
Tess is a 12-year resident of North Ridgeville and has two children in the North Ridgeville City Schools. Prior to joining the Senior Center, she spent the majority of her career in the Mortgage Lending Industry along with running her own Small Notary Business. In her spare time, she enjoys nature, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Steve Makowski, Van Driver

A North Ridgeville resident for three decades, Steve worked in the automotive repair industry for over 30 years as a certified master automobile technician. He truly loves his job, interacting with the older adults and helping out around the center. Steve has one daughter and two grandkids who are the light of his life.

Clancy McCool, Chef

Clancy is a transplant from Idaho, but loves living in North Ridgeville. He got his start as a Naval cook and has done everything from hotel banquets to owning and operating a breakfast café.
