Introduction:
All of this was made possible through a partnership between Gerhart's, Willie's Farm Market, Red Barn Produce and our community collaborative, The North Ridgeville Heart and Sole Challenge. Heart and Sole is a community based health and wellness initiative designed to improve the health and overall well-being of those who live and work in North Ridgeville by encouraging healthier lifestyles through access to physical fitness and good nutrition. History:
“Willie’s Farm Market is a family owned produce market that began in 1949 as a small roadside stand on Pearl Road in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Willie’s grandparents Joe and Mary Majcher grew fresh fruits and vegetables right behind the stand and farm house in Middleburg Heights and sold them daily to customers who would come from the city of Cleveland out to, what was at the time, the country, to pick up fresh local produce. When Joe and Mary passed away in the late 1970’s, Willie and his parents took over the business. After nearly 40 years of farming in Middleburg Heights and as the city began to become increasingly urban, Willie moved the farm to North Ridgeville in the late 1980’s where land was more plentiful and subsequently opened a new branch of Willie’s Farm Market in North Ridgeville in 1992. This would be the stand best known to residents of North Ridgeville on Root Road in the big blue barn.”

Willie worked closely with his father and mother running the market until 2005 when his father passed away. Both the Middleburg Heights and North Ridgeville locations continue stronger than ever to this day thanks to loyal support from our growing community customers. Willie’s Farm Market has a reputation for serving only the highest quality local produce. While each customer has his or her personal favorite, our market is best known for our delicious strawberries picked daily through the month of June, our award-winning sweet corn served through the months of July, August, and September, our mouth watering vine-ripened summer tomatoes, and our decadent Red Haven Peaches through the month of August. Our Middleburg Heights stand is also extremely well known for the extravagant display of pumpkins, gourds, and squash through the month of October. The Majcher family is extremely proud to continue to serve the North Ridgeville community the freshest local produce and we are deeply grateful to the overwhelming support of our loyal customers and friends. After nearly 70 years of history, we hope to share our homegrown produce for years to come!”
