Assistant City Engineer

The City of North Ridgeville is seeking a well-rounded, articulate, critical thinking, collaborative professional to serve as its Assistant City Engineer. Under the general supervision of the City Engineer, performs a variety of complex engineering duties including but not limited to: overseeing, planning and directing the efficient development and construction of public works projects; develops engineering plans and specifications; troubleshoots technical project and residential issues; reviews and interprets the application of state and local law, specifications and procedures; provides complex administrative support; prepares various written documents including reports, memos, studies, etc.; attends meetings outside of office hours as necessary; acts on behalf of the City Engineer in matters of well-defined policy, during absences and/or as specifically delegated; assists in the supervision of the Engineering Department staff. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil (preferred) engineering; minimum of seven years of experience as a licensed professional engineer preferably with some municipal or county government experience; Ohio P.E. license; valid State of Ohio driver's license.

Police Dispatcher
Job Status: Full Time
Salary: $23.62 per hour plus benefits

The North Ridgeville Police Department is currently seeking applications for the position of fulltime police dispatcher. Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous dispatching experience is not required to apply. Qualified candidates must have computer skills, be dependable, willing to work weekends and holidays, able to multi-task, prioritize, remain calm during stressful conditions and have contact with the public both in person and on the phone. Shift choices are bid by seniority. This hire will more than likely be on the swing shift (rotating days off) which will cover 7 AM-3 PM, 3 PM-11 PM or 11 AM-7 PM depending on the day. A thorough background investigation will be conducted.

Information Service Director/Network Coordinator
Salary: $61,360.71-$86,411.24

Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science or other related fields and at least 2 years’ experience in a related field, or any equivalent combination of experience, certifications, and training which provides the skill set necessary. Preferred Experience with: Microsoft Network Environments including Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL, Windows Update, Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems and MS Office applications; Web Design & Maintenance. Helpful Experience with: OnBase, GIS, VoIP, Scripting Languages. 

Position Overview: As part of the city's technology staff, the Information Service Director/Network Coordinator (ISD/NC) is responsible for administering and maintaining the City's computer network, telephone system and overall technology efforts: coordinates the purchase of data processing, network and telecommunications hardware and software; troubleshoots hardware, software and data processing and network problems; assists City departments in evaluating technology needs, hardware and software packages; coordinates or conducts training for the City staff; assists City departments in purchasing equipment, and implementing systems, including web development and integration; support technology infrastructure, telecommunications, hardware and software of all city departments; assistance in the analysis and evaluation of vendor-supplied products and services in accordance with the city's requirements and specifications; assist in or coordinates the acquisition, installation and application of vendor products and services. Laborer
Department: Service Department

Salary: $23.03/hr.

Summary: The Laborer position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work associated with the maintenance and repair of municipal streets, sewers and waterlines. This position reports to the Superintendent or designee.
