The Board of Drainage and Flood Control was established for the following purposes:
- To provide information to citizens on flood prevention and control
- To promote legislation on the flooding
- To act as a standing board for federal and state grants and as the standing committee for Water Quality and Storm Water Management in compliance with federal and state regulations
- To analyze flood data and recommend appropriate action
- To assist Council and the administration regarding drainage and flooding issues
The Board is comprised of 13 members who meet on a quarterly basis.
