COVID-19 COVID-19: Lorain County is Now at Level 3
The Governor requires counties in level 3 and above to wear masks.  Lorain County is now at level 3.  Beginning at 6 PM on Friday, July 10, 2020 this order will take effect.

The Regional Income Tax Agency released a press release announcing alternatives to walk-in taxpaper assistance as the July 15, 2020 municipal income tax filing deadline approaches.

The Lorain County Commissioners announced the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District Collection Center will reopen the Collection Center and tire sites with restrictions due to COVID-19.

City Hall Opens Its Doors to the Public, June 15, 2020
City Hall and municipal buildings will reopen on Monday, June 15 for normal operations for the exception of the Senior Center which will remain closed until further notice.  For the safety of our employees and visitors, we ask that you wear a mask when entering our facilities and practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart.  Please Note: The following meetings will continue to be held virtually until further notice - City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning & Building Appeals, Coffee & Conversation with Mayor Corcoran. 
Mayor's Court Precautionary Measures
Please be advised that Mayor's Court held weekly on Wednesday evenings has the following precautionary measures in place: 
- Only defendants and/or attorneys will be admitted. 
- Only 10 individuals will be permitted in Council Chambers at a time.

State Route 83 Urban Paving Project
The Ohio Department of Transportation will be milling and resurfacing State Route 83 from the southern city limits to the northern city limits with the exception of the Center Ridge Road/Route 83 intersection beginning the week of June 22, 2020 with an anticipated completion date of July 31, 2020 (weather permitting).

Sidewalk/Parking Lot Usage Plan - Local Businesses
An ordinance was adopted to temporarily suspend the parking lot and sidewalk requirements and restrictions for 180 days to allow local businesses to use property in a manner consistent with Ohio's Responsible RestartOhio Plan.

Road Closed Ranger Way To Close May 18, 2020
The North Ridgeville Academic Center school drive will be closed at the gate starting Monday, May 18 - no through access will be available. Access to Fire Station #1 and the northern parking lot to the Academic Center will still be available from Center Ridge Road.  Access to the parking lot on the south side of the Academic Center will be available from the entrance off of Bainbridge Road across from West Point Drive.  The gate will be closed until the end of July 2020.

Sanitary Sewer Broad, Main, Pleasant Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation
The contractor will begin cleaning the sanitary sewers on Broad, Main and Pleasant the week of May 11, 2020. 
Virtual Meetings - City Council and Committee Meetings
Due to current restrictions associated with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), future Council and committee meetings will not be in person and will be virtual meetings until further notice.  We still want to hear from you!   The meetings will be streamed on our YouTube channel with the use of live chat feature to submit comments and questions during the meeting.

Replacement of Mills Road Bridge Over French Creek, Spring 2021
The City of North Ridgeville obtained a grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Municipal Bridge Program to provide federal funding for a major portion of the costs to replace the Mills Road bridge over French Creek.  The project is in the preliminary design stage, and construction is estimated to begin in Spring of 2021.
