Free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing
COVID-19 Community Testing is available in Avon on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 9 AM-1 PM at Crushers Stadium (Parking Lot), 2009 Baseball Blvd., Avon. No need for doctors referral or order. No Charge Good News for Utility Customers: Two-Month Rate Holiday for Trash Collection
It has been hereby declared that a rate holiday shall be granted for November and December 2020, where no user charges are billed to residential customers for monthly trash collection.

The Mannik & Smith Group has been tasked by Ohio Department of Transportation to provide municipal bridge inspections for 41 bridges in our city.  Inspections are scheduled for October 12, 13, 2020 and tentatively will continue later in October and into November.  The inspections last approximately an hour at each bridge.

North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Virtual Pumpkin Carving Contest starting October 5 with photo submissions accepted via email until October 23, 2020.
 
Crack Sealing Crack Sealing Project Kicks Off October 21, 2020 (Revised 10-20-2020)
The Aero-Mark Company will begin crack sealing October 21, 2020.  The project will take approximately 5-6 days depending on weather conditions.

Lorain County Collection Center Lorain County Commissioners Announce October Hours for Collection Center
The Lorain County Commissioners are pleased to announce the continued operation of the Collection Center and tire sites with restrictions due to COVID-19 for October 2020.

 
Leaf Collection Special Leaf Collection, October 27-November 24, 2020
Leaves may be placed at the curb in plastic bags beginning October 27 through November 24, 2020 on regular trash pick-up day.  After November 24, leaves in plastic bags can only be left out as extra trash during bulk pick-up week each month.  From April through October each year, yard waste must be placed in brown yard waste bags for weekly collection.  Please call the Utilities Department at (440)-353-0841 with any questions.

City Hall Opens Its Doors to the Public, June 15, 2020
City Hall and municipal buildings will reopen on Monday, June 15 for normal operations for the exception of the Senior Center which will remain closed until further notice.  For the safety of our employees and visitors, we ask that you wear a mask when entering our facilities and practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart.  Please Note: The following meetings will continue to be held virtually until further notice - City Council, Planning Commission and Board of Zoning & Building Appeals.
 
Mayor's Court Precautionary Measures
Please be advised that Mayor's Court held weekly on Wednesday evenings has the following precautionary measures in place: 
- Only defendants and/or attorneys will be admitted. 
- Only 10 individuals will be permitted in Council Chambers at a time.

Virtual Meetings - City Council and Committee Meetings
Due to current restrictions associated with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), future Council and committee meetings will not be in person and will be virtual meetings until further notice.  We still want to hear from you!   The meetings will be streamed on our YouTube channel with the use of live chat feature to submit comments and questions during the meeting.

Replacement of Mills Road Bridge Over French Creek, Spring 2021
The City of North Ridgeville obtained a grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Municipal Bridge Program to provide federal funding for a major portion of the costs to replace the Mills Road bridge over French Creek.  The project is in the preliminary design stage, and construction is estimated to begin in Spring of 2021.
