Welcome to the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults (Senior Center) where all our "Young at Heart" seniors gather for an abundance of activities! We offer delicious low-cost meals, plenty of smiling faces, and and activity to suit any personality. Spaghetti Dinner Spaghetti Dinner, April 26, 2019
The Senior Center will be hosting a spaghetti dinner on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the Senior Center.  The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad and garlic toast for $7 adults, $6 seniors and children 10 and under $4.  Dessert are $1 and pop $.50.  Carry out is also available.  A special thank you to the sponsors - North Ridgeville Lions Club.

Indoor Walking Indoor Walking With North Ridgeville Heart and Sole
Get out and get walking this winter! Don’t like walking in the cold? All members of the community are invited to join us for free indoor walking this winter! Program is free to attend with no pre-registration required. There will be informative talks by City & School officials. Walks will take place at Liberty Elementary, 5700 Jaycox Rd.  on Thursdays from 6-7:30 PM, January 10-April 4, 2019 (No session 2/28/19).
 
Tax Time AARP Tax-Aide
AARP Tax-Aide, IRS-trained and certified volunteers prepare federal and state taxes at the Senior Center on Tuesdays beginning February 5 through April 9, 2019 from 9:30 AM-3:00 PM. This free service is provided for middle to low income taxpayers, with special attention to those age 60 and older. Appointments will be taken beginning January 2, 2019. Call the Senior Center at 440-353-0828 to schedule as soon as possible as spots fill up quickly. Tax deadline is April 15th. 
Music Bingo Music Bingo 2019

Looking for a fun afternoon? Come and play Music Bingo with Ken or Jack of Music Bingo Ohio. This is a fun way to play bingo. They provide bingo sheets with song titles and you have to match the song when it is played to form a bingo for prizes! Very similar to “Name That Tune”, but you already have the title on the bingo sheet! Plan on coming for a delicious lunch served at noon for $4.00 and stay for bingo! Reservations required for lunch by calling 440-353-0828. 
 
NRCS Senior Citizen Breakfast with North Ridgeville City Schools
North Ridgeville City Schools will be hosting a breakfast for seniors on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 8:30 AM at the North Ridgeville Academic Center in the Community Room located at 34620 Bainbridge Road.  Have you been curious about what is going on in the schools?  Join Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio for a hot breakfast and a morning of information. Make your reservations by calling (440) 353-0828. There are limited spots available.

Spa Day Spa Day, April 30, 2019
Spa Day will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 12:30-2:30 PM. Come in to have a hand massage and get your nails painted by the JVS Cosmetology students. This is a free event, reservation required by calling the Senior Center at (440) 353-0828. 
A Matter of Balance A Matter of Balance
A Matter of Balance is a nationally-recognized program that reduces the fear of falling and increases activity levels. Join us once a week for 8 weeks at the Senior Center from March 11-April 29, 2019, 1-3:00 PM.  This program fills up quickly so please call early to reserve your spot at (440) 353-0828.

Dr. Thomas Emmert, Podiatrist of Total Foot Care, will offer a Foot Clinic at the Senior Center on March 6 and April 24, 2019 between 8-11:00 AM. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If it is your first visit, please contact Dr. Emmert's office at 216-529-1800 to insure they have the necessary information.

Mobile Hearing Service will be conducting a FREE hearing test for seniors at the Senior Center on March 7 and April 30, 2019.  Other services such as equipment cleaning will be at a minimal fee.  Please call 440-353-0828 to schedule your appointment.

Golden Buckeye Card Information image Golden Buckeye Card Information
Participation in the Golden Buckeye program is free to all Ohio residents who are: age 60 or over; age 18-59 with a Social Security Administration defined disability.  
Line Dancing Classes image Line Dancing Classes
Ronna Murray and her line dancing classes are in full swing on Tuesdays. Beginners meet from 11:50 AM-12:50 PM and Intermediate group steps off from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.  Cost is $25 for a six-week session and can be paid at the first lesson. 
Senior Yoga image Senior Yoga
Instruction is provided by a certified Yoga instructor, Midori Sato. Yoga helps one achieve a healthy balance of mind, body, spirit and also improve your coordination, flexibility and to stay healthy. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 10:40-11:45 AM. The fee is $5 per class or $30 per 6-week session. Pre-registration and payment required.  Please call (440) 353-0835 for more information or to register.

Are you interested in art or just enjoy painting freestyle?  Our watercolor enthusiasts gather for painting and fun on Wednesday mornings and would love to have you join their group. If interested, just bring your paints and stop by the Senior Center any Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM.

If you are interested in joining the fun group that meets on Wednesdays for an afternoon of fellowship and fun from 1-4 PM, please call Shelly at (440) 353-0835.  
Exercise Classes Every Monday image Exercise Classes Every Monday
Join Fitness Instructor, Diane Mehlman, for weekly exercise classes on Mondays from 9-9:50 AM. All exercises can be done to meet your ability and strengths. All participants will need a set of 2 or 3 pound weights, stretch bands and a bottle of water. Cost is $24/4 weeks.

Everyone is welcome to come on Mondays from 10 AM-2 PM to join in the fun, fellowship and the making of special crafts. Bring your ideas or share in ours. A soup lunch including beverage is available for $.35 at noon. 
Euchre and Pinochle Weekly Card Games image Euchre and Pinochle Weekly Card Games
Cards are played on Thursdays at 12 noon except on Super Thursdays when all card games begin at 1:30 PM. Join in the fun each week from noon until 4 PM.  Refreshments will be served. 
Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday image Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday

“Mahjongg” is an Ancient Chinese Tile Game. This group meets every Thursday at 12 noon (except on Super Thursdays) and always welcomes new members. 

 
Tai-Chi Every Tuesday image Tai-Chi Every Tuesday

Come join us for our Balance Tai-Chi every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Tai-Chi uses movements to improve balance and will focus on strengthening muscles of the ankles, knees, hips and legs which will increase flexibility and coordination. Call to register at 353-0835. Cost is $5 per class or $30 per 6-week session.

The Senior Center will be hosting Puzzle Exchange the last Tuesday of each month from 11 AM-12:00 PM. 
Blood Pressure Checks image Blood Pressure Checks
Walk in and have your blood pressure checked by one of our friendly retired volunteer nurses on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 10 AM-noon at the Senior Center. The is no charge for this service and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
