Welcome to the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults (Senior Center) where all our "Young at Heart" seniors gather for an abundance of activities! We offer delicious low-cost meals, plenty of smiling faces, and and activity to suit any personality. The Ladies Brunch schedule for November/December 2019 is now available. 
exercise Get Fit! Exercise Class
Enjoy a morning class of fun exercises to loosen, tone and strengthen those muscles. Join our Fitness Instructor, Diane Mehlman, for class Mondays from 9-9:45 a.m. All exercises can be done to meet your ability and strengths. All exercisers will need a set of 2 or 3# weights, stretch bands and a bottle of water. Cost is $32.00 per 6 week session. First class is free - stop in and try it!  Session 4: November 4, 18, 25, December 2, 9, 16, 2019 (no class 11/5 & 12/10).
Memory Lane Take a Trip Down Memory Lane
We are looking to join in with the area Senior Centers doing trivia and are in search of interested individuals that would like to play along. The other Senior Centers are Westlake, North Olmsted, Bay Village and Rocky River; each facility hosts a day of trivia and is played 1:30 -3:30 PM (2 hours). Teams consist of a maximum of 6 players, but not necessary; if you don’t have 5 other people to form a team you will be matched with others in the same situation. If interested, please call the Senior Center at 353-0828 for further information or to register. 
minute it to win it Minute To Win It! Game, December 12, 2019
Remember the NBC show “Minute To Win It” that had contestants do challenges within a minute to win? Well we are doing our own version of that show on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Players are presented with different challenges that they must complete within the minute to win. What a fun game that will have you laughing and cheering everyone on to see who can complete their challenge! Don’t miss this event. Open Enrollment Medicare Counseling
Medicare health and drug plans change every year. Are you keeping up? Open Enrollment is approaching and it's your time to review your coverage. Counselors from the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) will be at the Senior Center on the following Fridays: November 1, 8, 15 and 22 to help you review your insurance and answer any questions about your Medicare coverage. You must call 440-353-0828 to schedule an appointment to insure your current health or drug plan is the most cost effective for you and learn about the different coverage options. OSHIIP is a free service through the Ohio Department of Insurance and provides unbiased information on Medicare. OSHIIP does not sell insurance.

See the upcoming trip schedule.  There's something for everyone!  New Registration Poliy: registration is taken in the order of individuals signing up during the registration period. Payment is due at the time of booking. Booking begins at 9 AM on specified date. Passenger will be allowed to register one other individual at time of registration. Our Senior Van has a 14-passenger capacity.  
Holiday Party Holiday Party, December 10, 2019
Join us for some Holiday fun on December 10, 2019 at noon as we celebrate all that is special about this time of the year. Our menu will be spiral sliced ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans and dessert. Our entertainment will be the NR High School Choir. Reservations for this event are a must! Come and enjoy appetizers, desserts and a toast at 12 (noon) on Tuesday, December 31 from 12-1:30 PM with entertainment by Steppin' Out Show Choir to help us ring in the New Year a little early! The Mind Challenge Mind Challenge for the New Majority, January 21, 2020
The North Ridgeville Senior Center is participating in an Academic Challenge-style trivia contest and we need you on our team!

Dr. Thomas Emmert, Podiatrist of Total Foot Care, will offer a Foot Clinic at the Senior Center on December 11, 2019 between 8-11:00 AM. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If it is your first visit, please contact Dr. Emmert's office at 216-529-1800 to insure they have the necessary information.  
Wii Sports Wii Sports
Wii Sports is becoming a popular sport at the Senior Center.  Every Monday from 12:30-2 PM join in the fun!  Upcoming sports include Golf from October 7-November 25 and December 16 is Fun Day, Wii Guilty Party Game! Be detectives and solve the mystery. All are welcome; you may form teams and register as a team. If individual, you will be placed into a blind draw team. Golden Buckeye Card Information image Golden Buckeye Card Information
Participation in the Golden Buckeye program is free to all Ohio residents who are: age 60 or over; age 18-59 with a Social Security Administration defined disability.  
Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays image Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays
Are you interested in art or just enjoy painting freestyle?  Our watercolor enthusiasts gather for painting and fun on Wednesday mornings and would love to have you join their group. If interested, just bring your paints and stop by the Senior Center any Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM. 
Line Dancing Classes image Line Dancing Classes
Ronna Murray and her line dancing classes are in full swing on Tuesdays. Beginners meet from 11:50 AM-12:50 PM and Intermediate group steps off from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.  Cost is $25 for a six-week session.  Winter Session: October 29, November 12, 19, 26 and December 3, 17 (no class 11/5 and 12/1).

Cards are played on Thursdays at 12 noon except on Super Thursdays when all card games begin at 1:30 PM. Join in the fun each week from noon until 4 PM.  Refreshments will be served.

Everyone is welcome to come on Mondays from 10 AM-2 PM to join in the fun, fellowship and the making of special crafts. Bring your ideas or share in ours. A soup lunch including beverage is available for $.35 at noon. 
Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday image Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday

“Mahjongg” is an Ancient Chinese Tile Game. This group meets every Thursday at 12 noon (except on Super Thursdays) and always welcomes new members. If you've never played, we offer instruction as to how to play the game. A player's card is required for a small fee.

The Senior Center will be hosting Puzzle Exchange the last Tuesday of each month from 11 AM-12:00 PM. 
Blood Pressure Checks image Blood Pressure Checks
Walk in and have your blood pressure checked by one of our friendly retired volunteer nurses on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 10 AM-noon at the Senior Center. The is no charge for this service and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
