Welcome to the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults (Senior Center) where all our "Young at Heart" seniors gather for an abundance of activities! We offer delicious low-cost meals, plenty of smiling faces, and and activity to suit any personality. Ladies Brunch Ladies Brunch Schedule
The Ladies Brunch schedule for January/February 2020 is now available. 
tax time AARP Tax Preparation Appointments
AARP Tax-Aide, IRS-trained and certified volunteers prepare federal and state taxes at the Senior Center February 4-April 14 from 9 AM-3 PM. This free service is provided for middle to low income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older.  NO LONGER TAKING APPOINTMENTS - SCHEDULE IS FULL.
 
Hearing Testing, March 3, 2020 image Hearing Testing, March 3, 2020
Mobile Hearing Service will be conducting a FREE hearing test for seniors at the Senior Center on March 3, 2020 from 1-4 PM.  Other services such as equipment cleaning will be at a minimal fee.  Please call 440-353-0828 to schedule your appointment. 
exercise Get Fit! Exercise Class
Enjoy a morning class of fun exercises to loosen, tone and strengthen those muscles. Join our Fitness Instructor, Diane Mehlman, for class Mondays from 9-9:50 AM. All exercises can be done to meet your ability and strengths. All exercisers will need a set of 2 or 3# weights, stretch bands and a bottle of water. Cost is $32.00 per 6 week session. First class is free - stop in and try it! Current session December 30, 2019-February 10, 2020 (no class on January 20 or February 17); Session 1: February 24-March 30, 2020 with registration deadline of February 19.
 
Memory Lane Take a Trip Down Memory Lane
We are looking to join in with the area Senior Centers doing trivia and are in search of interested individuals that would like to play along. The other Senior Centers are Westlake, North Olmsted, Bay Village and Rocky River; each facility hosts a day of trivia and is played 1:30 -3:30 PM (2 hours). Teams consist of a maximum of 6 players, but not necessary; if you don’t have 5 other people to form a team you will be matched with others in the same situation. If interested, please call the Senior Center at 353-0828 for further information or to register. 
line dancing Line Dancing Classes
Come and learn some fancy footwork while having tons of fun with your fellow classmates.  Beginner and intermediate sessions available.  Sessions are six weeks at a cost of $25. Instructor is Ronna Murray. Beginner session is 11:50 AM-12:50 PM and Intermediate 1-2 PM.  Session 1: January 14, 21, 28; February 4, 11, 18, 2020 (registration deadline January 2, 2020) and Session II: February 25; March 3, 10, 24, 31; April 7, 2020 (registration deadline is February 19, 2020).

This class allows you to perform postures and breathing exercies with the aid of a chair. You can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Benefits of this class include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion and stress reduction.

See the upcoming trip schedule.  There's something for everyone!  New Registration Poliy: registration is taken in the order of individuals signing up during the registration period. Payment is due at the time of booking. Booking begins at 9 AM on specified date. Passenger will be allowed to register one other individual at time of registration. Our Senior Van has a 14-passenger capacity.  
Music Bingo Music Bingo
Save these date on your calendar:  March 25, June 24, September 23 and December 16, 2020
Looking for a fun afternoon? Come and play Music Bingo with Ken or Jack of Music Bingo Ohio. This is a fun way to play bingo. They provide bingo sheets with song titles and you have to match the song when it is played to form a bingo for prizes! Very similar to “Name That Tune”, but you already have the title on the bingo sheet! Plan on coming for a delicious lunch served at noon for $4.00 and stay for bingo! Reservations required for lunch by calling 440-353-0828. 
 
Wii Sports Wii Sports
Wii Sports is becoming a popular sport at the Senior Center.  Every Monday from 12:30-2 PM join in the fun!  Upcoming sports include Golf from October 7-November 25 and December 16 is Fun Day, Wii Guilty Party Game! Be detectives and solve the mystery. All are welcome; you may form teams and register as a team. If individual, you will be placed into a blind draw team. Golden Buckeye Card Information image Golden Buckeye Card Information
Participation in the Golden Buckeye program is free to all Ohio residents who are: age 60 or over; age 18-59 with a Social Security Administration defined disability.  
Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays image Freestyle Art Group Meets on Wednesdays
Are you interested in art or just enjoy painting freestyle?  Our watercolor enthusiasts gather for painting and fun on Wednesday mornings and would love to have you join their group. If interested, just bring your paints and stop by the Senior Center any Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM.

If you are interested in joining the fun group that meets on Wednesdays for an afternoon of fellowship and fun from 12:30-4 PM, please call (440) 353-0835.  
Euchre and Pinochle Weekly Card Games image Euchre and Pinochle Weekly Card Games
Cards are played on Thursdays at 12 noon except on Super Thursdays when all card games begin at 1:30 PM. Join in the fun each week from noon until 4 PM.  Refreshments will be served.

Everyone is welcome to come on Mondays from 10 AM-2 PM to join in the fun, fellowship and the making of special crafts. Bring your ideas or share in ours. A soup lunch including beverage is available for $.35 at noon. 
Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday image Mahjongg Meets Every Thursday

“Mahjongg” is an Ancient Chinese Tile Game. This group meets every Thursday at 12 noon (except on Super Thursdays) and always welcomes new members. If you've never played, we offer instruction as to how to play the game. A player's card is required for a small fee.

The Senior Center will be hosting Puzzle Exchange the last Tuesday of each month from 11 AM-12:00 PM. 
Blood Pressure Checks image Blood Pressure Checks
Walk in and have your blood pressure checked by one of our friendly retired volunteer nurses on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 10 AM-noon at the Senior Center. The is no charge for this service and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
