The City of North Ridgeville Utilities Department provides billing services for water, sanitary sewer, refuse, and recycling collection to more than 12,500 accounts. There is nearly 300 miles of water lines in the city to service these customers and the sanitary sewer is handled by the city owned French Creek Wastewater Treatment plant located in Sheffield Village. Water meters are actually read up to four times daily and billed on a monthly basis for all residential and commercial customers.
City-wide refuse collection is every Monday or Tuesday beginning at 6:00 AM and includes a recycling program (green cart). In addition, there is also a "Yard Waste" recycling program that runs from April through November each year. All grass clippings and other yard waste must be placed in brown paper yard waste bags not to exceed 50 lbs. Christmas trees will be collected the first week in January. For more detailed information and a map showing refuse collection day, click the Refuse Collection
