Lorain County Commissioners Announce October Hours for Collection Center

The Lorain County Commissioners are pleased to announce the continued operation of the Collection Center and tire sites with restrictions due to COVID-19 for October 2020.

The Lorain County Collection Center located at 540 S. Abbe Rd., Elyria will continue limited operations on the following Wednesdays from 12 PM-6 PM: October 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2020 and Saturdays from 9 AM-3 PM: October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2020.

The Lorain Tire Site, located at 114 E 35th Street, Lorain will be open on the following Tuesdays: October 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2020 from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Grafton Tire Site located at 17109 Avon Belden Rd, Grafton will be open on the following Saturdays: October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2020 from 9 AM to 1 PM.

All hours are subject to change for all sites; please check the website for the most up-to-date hours.

When packing your vehicle, all materials to be dropped off should be in the rear compartment or truck bed of the vehicle (no materials in the front or rear seat) and do not place other personal items by items to be dropped off. Once at the Collection Center or tire sites, participants must remain in their vehicles at all times and facial coverings are required to be serviced. Staff at the Collection Center or tire sites will request to visually see your ID to prove Lorain County residency. Wait times may be longer than usual, so please plan accordingly. Future operating schedules will be evaluated by the end of October.
