New Police Station Update (Revised 1-20-2023)

Architectural Vision Group (AVG) is working with the City to design the interior and exterior of the new police station.  The new station will be located on Ranger Way, next to Fire Station #1 and across the street from the North Ridgeville Academic Center.   Preparation is underway at the location site.  The dirt pile has been removed and relocated to improve the water retention basin located between Grant and the Ohio Turnpike.  In addition, an environmental study was done including a wetlands assessment, and all of the findings have been addressed.

The project will include a 21,326-square-foot police station and a separate 7,800-square-foot evidence storage building.  As a cost savings measure, the storage facility will be a pre-engineered metal building and will include spaces for cars, a kennel for lost dogs, and an evidence processing and drying room.

The architectural plans received unanimous approval at the March 8, 2022 Planning Commission meeting. The City will continue to work with AVG to fine tune all aspects of the plan in preparation of going out to bid to hire a building contractor.  Below are renderings of the proposed new station including a video flyover.
