Stoney Ridge Road Closure Beginning June 5, 2023

Preliminary work is continuing on the Mills Road, Stoney Ridge Road and Avalon Drive Roundabout Project. Utility work is underway with poles scheduled to be relocated and a gas transmission line to be encased. The encasing of the line may require a two-week closure of Stoney Ridge Road just north of Mills Road and is tentatively scheduled to begin June 5, 2023. The project will be a peanut-shape to improve safety and efficiency and eliminate the current intersection’s offset geometry. Also included in the project is new pavement, curb and gutters, traffic control, landscaping and new watermain and sanitary sewers. The City intends to bid the project this summer with construction anticipated to begin in the fall.
