Mosquito Spraying, August 29, 30, 31, 2016
The Lorain County General Health District will be spraying for mosquitoes throughout North Ridgeville on August 29-31 from 8:00 PM until approximately midnight (depending on weather conditions).  The county will be using pick-up trucks with sprayers attached, a silver Chevy 1500 and a white Ford F250, that are clearly marked Lorain County General Health District.  The spray is not harmful to humans or pets.  If you have any questions, please call the health department at (440) 322-6367. 
City Hall Offices Closed, September 5, 2016
City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2016 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. 
Trash Pick-Up Delayed One Day
In observation of Labor Day, Allied Waste Services will delay trash pick-up by one day.  Trash collection, including bulk pick-up, will occur Tuesday, September 6 (Monday customers) and Wednesday, September 7 (Tuesday customers) during that week.  
Aurensen Road/Safe Routes to School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Please join Mayor Gillock, North Ridgeville City Schools Superintendent Jim Powell, North Ridgeville Branch Library Supervisor Karen Sigsworth and Lorain County General Health District Commissioner David Covell to celebrate the installation of Aurensen Road and Safe Routes to School sidewalks. Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held Thursday, September 8 at 9:30 AM at Aurensen Road and Noll Drive. After the ceremony, walk to South Central Park gazebo to enjoy the High School band followed by planned activities at the library. 
Water Tower Maintenance, Possible Pressure Variances
Cleaning and scheduled maintenance on the city's water tower behind Fire Station #1 on Avon Belden Road is scheduled for September 20th. The tower will need to be drained which will begin the afternoon of September 16th.  Our Service Department will monitor pressures throughout the draining process but certain areas of the city may experience pressure variances. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. 
Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance Ceremony, September 11
The City will hold a special memorial service on Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 8:30 AM at the NEW Ranger Stadium on Bainbridge Road next to the North Ridgeville High School. 
North Ridgeville Ranks in the Top 15, Safest Cities in Ohio
North Ridgeville once again made the list for one of the top 15 safest cities in Ohio. To qualify, cities must have submitted a crime report to the FBI and have a population over 8,000. The violent and property crime statistics of each city is examined and compared to the city's population to arrive at the rankings. Click here for the complete article.   
Milling and Paving Schedule, Weeks of August 15, 29
The Service Department is scheduled to mill and pave Mildred Street from Route 83 to Ridgeview Blvd. the week of August 15. Beginning the week of August 29, Race Road from Sugar Ridge Road to the railroad tracks and Island Road will be milled and paved. This schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions. Please expect delays. 
Longbow/Crossbow Deer Hunting Land Registration Underway
Registration forms are available in the lobby of the police station or you can visit the Police Department's webpage to download the necessary forms.  
Senator Manning Offers District Office Hours, September 16
Senator Manning invites residents to District Office Hours on Friday, September 16 from 11 AM-12 noon at the North Ridgeville Branch Library.  This is a great opportunity for constituents to learn what is being done on their behalf at the Statehouse as well as an opportunity to share their family's concerns and ideas with Senator Manning. No appointment is necessary and any questions can be directed to Senator Manning's office at (614) 644-7613 or 
WOW! Cable Coming Soon to North Ridgeville
WOW! has announced plans to begin construction of their network in North Ridgeville. Their network will be brought through existing utility easements such as gas, electric, water and sewer lines or through the right-of-way.  You'll be seeing WOW! trucks and personnel in the coming weeks as they move forward with identifying public easements and right-of-ways.  
Yellowbook's Lorain County Directory
Delivery of the Yellowbook Lorain County Directory will be delivered to homes between October 6-November 3, 2016. Residents have the choice to opt-out of future phone book directories by visiting  Recycling options can be found at 
North Ridgeville Heart & Sole, Healthy Strides
North Ridgeville Parks & Recreation invites you to attend Healthy Strides.  Healthy Strides combines a casual 30-minute walk, preceded by a brief informative talk by local health professionals and city officials. All members of the community are welcome.  Weekly walks to be held at Pavilion 1 at South Central Park from 6-7 PM every Tuesday beginning June 7-August 30. See attached schedule.
