Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) Grant Kick Off Meeting
The Lorain County Commissioners announced a kick-off meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Commissioners Public Hearing Room B, located on the 4th floor of the Lorain County Administration Building, 226 Middle Avenue in Elyria. 
North Ridgeville Virtual Farm Market
Fresh, fun, local. That’s what the North Ridgeville Virtual Farm Market is all about. Residents are fortunate to have local produce stands that provide access to many different fruits and vegetables and the Virtual Farm Market wants to help get the word out about where you can find these stands. 
Adams Avenue at Lear Nagle to Close for up to 21 days
Starting Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 7 AM, Adams Avenue at Lear Nagle Road will be closed for up to 21 days to remove and replace the intersection with a new concrete pavement. Detour signs will be posted.

The City of North Ridgeville is seeking a full-time City Auditor. 
Legal Notice, Custodial Services
Sealed bids will be received in the Office of the Mayor for the City of North Ridgeville until 2:00 PM on October 13, 2016 and will be opened immediately thereafter for: Custodial Services. 
Now Accepting Holiday Wreath Orders at the Senior Center
The Senior Center crafters are taking orders for holiday wreaths. The wreaths are beautifully decorated for Christmas and sell for $15. Pre-orders are being accepted through October 28, 2016. Pickup will begin the week of November 14 from 9 AM-3 PM.  Stands are an additional $6. Call 353-0828 to place your order. If you already have a wreath and it needs a little TLC, you can also bring it in for touch ups at $8. 
Fiesta Jalapenos Fundraiser, October 20
Join us at Fiesta Jalapenos on October 20 to help raise funds for the Senior Center.  Present this flyer at checkout and 20% of your entire bill will be donated to the Senior Center. 
Fire Department Announces Museum Hours
The Fire Museum is now open from 2:00-4:00 PM every third Saturday starting in September 2016. The dates for the remainder of the year are: September 3, 24; October 15; November 5, 26; and, December 17. 
Lorain County Solid Waste Management District Shredding Service
The Lorain County Solid Waste Management District Collection Center historically would hold two Shred Days a year for Lorain County residents. They recently purchased their own truck and can offer shredding on a more regular basis. Lorain County residents can drop off items to be shredded during regular business hours (Mondays & Wednesdays from noon-6 PM and Saturdays 9 AM-6 PM) at 540 South Abbe Road in Elyria. Items dropped off will be locked up until enough pieces have been collected to warrant the use of the truck. If you have any questions, please call the Collection Center at 1-800-449-5463. 
Fire Department Receives Mission Lifeline Gold Award
The North Ridgeville Fire Department is proud to announce they are the recipient of the 2016 American Heart Association: Lifeline EMS Gold Performance Achievement Award. 
North Ridgeville Ranks in the Top 15, Safest Cities in Ohio
North Ridgeville once again made the list for one of the top 15 safest cities in Ohio. To qualify, cities must have submitted a crime report to the FBI and have a population over 8,000. The violent and property crime statistics of each city is examined and compared to the city's population to arrive at the rankings. Click here for the complete article.

Registration forms are available in the lobby of the police station or you can visit the Police Department's webpage to download the necessary forms.  
WOW! Cable Coming Soon to North Ridgeville
WOW! has announced plans to begin construction of their network in North Ridgeville. Their network will be brought through existing utility easements such as gas, electric, water and sewer lines or through the right-of-way.  You'll be seeing WOW! trucks and personnel in the coming weeks as they move forward with identifying public easements and right-of-ways.  
Yellowbook's Lorain County Directory
Delivery of the Yellowbook Lorain County Directory will be delivered to homes between October 6-November 3, 2016. Residents have the choice to opt-out of future phone book directories by visiting www.yellowpagesoptout.com.  Recycling options can be found at www.recycleyellowbook.com. 
Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study Continues, Mainline Dye Testing
Mainline dye testing, which includes testing storm sewers, catch basins or ditches that cross or parallel the sanitary sewer will identify problems within the city's responsibility to repair.  AECOM will be conducting mainline dye testing in the areas of sub-basins 9, 10, 15 and 16. Dye may be seen in storm sewers or streams where the storm sewer has discharged.
