Tots Trick-Or-Trick, October 28
Bring your witches and goblins to march in a parade and receive ghoulish treats donated by city employees on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM.  This is a free event for ages up to 5 years old. Please pre-register for this event to ensure we have plenty of treats. Click here to register. 
Spaghetti Dinner, Friday, October 28, 2016
Please join us on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 5-7:00 PM at the North Ridgeville Senior Center for a scrumptious Spaghetti Dinner. 
Citywide Trick-Or-Treat, October 31
North Ridgeville will be observing citywide Trick-or-Treat on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 6:00-7:30 PM. If you plan to participate in passing out candy, please turn your street/porch light on.  Please drive carefully throughout the city to ensure the safety of our children.  
Gas Main Installation, Center Ridge Road and Route 83
Columbia Gas will be installing a new gas main at Center Ridge Road and Route 83. The crew will be working nightly from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM beginning Monday, October 31, 2016 through Saturday morning, November 5, 2016.  Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. 
Open House, Mills Road and SR 83 Roundabout
The City of North Ridgeville and The City of Avon are pleased to announce an open house on November 1 from 6:30-7:30 PM to update residents and answer any questions regarding the Mills Road and SR 83 roundabout project. 
Bainbridge Road Temporary Closure, November 5, 2016
Bainbridge Road between Route 83 and Mitchell Drive will be closed Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 8 AM-10:30 AM for the 3rd Annual Cleveland Stache Dash 5K. Bainbridge Road will reopen immediately following the race. This event is sponsored by the Parks & Recreation Department. 
Lear Nagle Road, NB Lane Closure
Beginning Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 6:00 AM, Lear Nagle Road will be closed northbound between Lorain Road and Center Ridge Road for five days (weather permitting) to pour the concrete lane on the east side of the road.  Detour signs will be posted.   
NOPEC "Opt Out" Mailing for Electricity
Every three years NOPEC is required by Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to give customers an opportunity to opt-out or remain with a NOPEC/FES product. Residents will be receiving in the mail information to opt-out. To stay with NOPEC, simply do nothing and throw the letter out. 
Legal Notices, French Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant
Sealed proposals will be received at the Office of the Mayor until 10:00 AM on November 2, 2016 and will be opened and read immediately thereafter for two separate projects: Replacement of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning System AND The Upgrade of the Influent Elevator System at French Creek WWTP. 
Lorain County General Health District, Issue 36
The Lorain County General Health District serves as our local health department and provides numerous services to our community.  On the November 8, 2016 ballot, Issue 36 will be a replacement and reduction health levy from 1 mill to .5 mill. This means about $30 per year per $100,000 home value will decrease to $15 per year.  Yes, this health levy will be at a cost savings because of the expansion to additional communities that will share in the costs to continue to provide the best public health services in Lorain County.

Meet and Greet Councilman Ward 1, Gregg A. Westover
Ward 1 Councilman, Gregg A. Westover, will be hosting a meet and greet on November 4, 2016 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Kim's Family Restaurant, 37863 Center Ridge Road. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee with your councilman and get caught up on city projects, and allow Mr. Westover to get to know you and your community ideas. 
Special Leaf Collection, October 31-November 29, 2016
Leaves may be placed at the curb in plastic bags beginning the week of October 31 through November 29 on the regular trash pick-up day. After November 29, leaves in plastic bags can only be left out as extra trash the first full week of each month during bulk pick-up. From April through October each year, yard waste must be placed in brown yard waste bags for weekly collection. Please call the Utilities Department at (440) 353-0841 with any questions.

Fresh, fun, local. That’s what the North Ridgeville Virtual Farm Market is all about. Residents are fortunate to have local produce stands that provide access to many different fruits and vegetables and the Virtual Farm Market wants to help get the word out about where you can find these stands.

The City of North Ridgeville is seeking a full-time City Auditor. 
Now Accepting Holiday Wreath Orders at the Senior Center
The Senior Center crafters are taking orders for holiday wreaths. The wreaths are beautifully decorated for Christmas and sell for $15. Pre-orders are being accepted through October 28, 2016. Pickup will begin the week of November 14 from 9 AM-3 PM.  Stands are an additional $6. Call 353-0828 to place your order. If you already have a wreath and it needs a little TLC, you can also bring it in for touch ups at $8. 
WOW! Cable Coming Soon to North Ridgeville
WOW! has announced plans to begin construction of their network in North Ridgeville. Their network will be brought through existing utility easements such as gas, electric, water and sewer lines or through the right-of-way.  You'll be seeing WOW! trucks and personnel in the coming weeks as they move forward with identifying public easements and right-of-ways.

City of North Ridgeville is pleased to announce monthly Coffee and Conversation with Mayor David Gillock.  Stop in to enjoy a cup of coffee and casual conversation with the Mayor.  
Chipotle Mexican Grill Fundraiser to Benefit the Senior Center
Come for dinner at Chipotle Mexican Grill on November 17, 2016 from 4-8 PM to help raise funds for North Ridgeville Seniors, Inc.  Chipotle in North Ridgeville will donate 50% of the entire bill to the Senior Center.  All proceeds will benefit programs at the North Ridgeville Senior Center.
