Notice of Intent to Sell City Vehicles
In accordance with Ordinance No. 5483-2017, 5492-2017 and Ohio Revised Code 721.15 notice is hereby given of the intent to sell city vehicles no longer needed or unfit for municipal use by public auction through the Greater Cleveland Auto Auction.

Good News for Utility Customers: Two-Month Rate Holiday for Trash Collection
Due to the excess balance of funds that are above what is needed for continued operations in the solid waste account, it is the desire of the Administration and City Council to return any excess cash balance to our customers, in the form of a rate holiday.  In accordance with city ordinance #5479-2017, it has been hereby declared that a rate holiday shall be granted for November and December 2017, where no user charges are to be billed by the City to its residential customers for the monthly trash collection fee, during the last two months of 2017.  
First Energy's Ohio Utilities Remind Customers Assistance Programs are Available
First Energy's Ohio utilities remind customers having difficulty paying their utility bills that they may be eligible for special financial assistance programs.  
Special Leaf Collection, October 31-November 28, 2017
Leaves may be placed at the curb in plastic bags beginning October 31 through November 28, 2017 on regular trash collection days. After November 28, leaves in plastic bags can only be left out as extra trash the first full week of each month during bulk pick-up. From April through October each year, yard waste must be placed in brown yard waste bags for weekly collection.  Questions, call the Utilities Department at (440) 353-0841. 
Holiday on the Ridge, December 2, 2017
North Ridgeville Visitors Bureau is sponsoring the 17th annual Holiday on the Ridge on Saturday, December 2, 2017.  Experience the magic of Christmas while visiting craft shows, multiple business open houses and special events like the pancake breakfast and annual tree lighting ceremony.   
Holiday Food and Toy Drive
Non-perishable food items and new toys are needed for the holidays and will be donated to North Ridgeville Community Care.  Drop off boxes are located at City Hall, Parks & Recreation and Senior Center.  Items may be dropped off through December 8, 2017. 
Columbia Gas Surveying Properties
Columbia Gas will be surveying the main gas line along streets and service line on properties up to the meter.  They will be using light surveying and measuring equipment to conduct their work.  You may see Columbia Gas vehicles, employees and contractors on your property during this process.  Columbia Gas expects to complete their work in our area by the end of 2017.  Feel free to ask for identification from Columbia Gas or one of their contractors: Reconn, Utiliquest LLC, and Woolpert.  If you have any questions, contact Columbia Gas Customer Service at 1-800-344-4077.

Registration forms are available in the lobby of the police station or you can visit the Police Department's webpage to download the necessary forms.  
North Ridgeville Ranks in the Top 20 Safest Cities in Ohio
SafeWise released the 2017 "20 Safest Cities in Ohio" report. North Ridgeville ranked #11.  To compile, this report, SafeWise used the most recent FBI crime data from 2015, along with population data to analyze and rank these cities.
