Thanksgiving Holiday City Hall Offices Closed, November 22, 23, 2018
City Hall Offices will be closed November 22, 23, 2018 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! 
Road Closed Race Road Closure To Begin November 26, 2018
Race Road will be closed just north of the railroad tracks beginning Monday, November 26, 2018 for approximately 4 weeks. Avon Lake Regional Water will be performing an emergency repair on an ETL2 water line. Race Road will be open to local traffic only.  All other travelers please follow the posted detour signs.  
Now Accepting Applications for Parks and Recreation Commission
North Ridgeville Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting applications to serve on the North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation Commission.  Interested residents should submit resume and application by Friday, December 7, 2018.  For more information regarding the Parks & Recreation Commission please contact Parks & Recreation Director Kevin Fougerousse at (440) 353-0825 or kfougerousse@nridgeville.org. 
Notice of Patrolman Entrance Examination
Civil Service Commission is offering open, competitive written and agility examinations to establish an eligibility list for entry level Patrolman Class "C" position.  
No Charge Good News for Utility Customers: Rate Holiday for Trash Collection
Due to excess balance of funds needed in the solid waste account, residential customers will be receiving a rate holiday in December for the monthly trash collection fee. 
North Ridgeville Fire Department Strategic Plan 2018-2023
The North Ridgeville Fire Department has recently completed the process of developing a community driven strategic plan.  
Leaf Collection Special Leaf Collection, October 30-November 27, 2018
Leaves may be placed at the curb in plastic bags beginning October 30 through November 27 on regular trash pick-up day.  After November 27, leaves in plastic bags can only be left out as extra trash the first full week of each month during bulk pick-up.  From April through October each year, yard waste must be placed in brown yard waste bags for weekly collection. Please call the Utilities Department at (440) 353-0841 with any questions.

North Ridgeville Lions Club is assisting Mr. & Mrs. Claus this holiday season by providing them with a direct phone line into our community. 
Holiday on the Ridge Holiday on the Ridge, Saturday, December 1, 2018
North Ridgeville Visitors Bureau is sponsoring the 18th annual Holiday on the Ridge on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  Experience the magic of Christmas while visiting craft shows, multiple business open houses and special events like the pancake breakfast and annual tree lighting ceremony to be held at 5:00 PM at South Central Park Gazebo.   
Holiday Food and Toy Drive Holiday Food and Toy Drive
Non-perishable food items and new toys are needed for the holidays and will be donated to North Ridgeville Community Care.  Drop off boxes are located at City Hall, Parks & Recreation and Senior Center.  Items may be dropped off through December 7, 2018. 
Longbow/Crossbow Deer Hunting Land Registration Underway
Registration forms are available in the lobby of the police station or you can visit the Police Department's webpage to download the necessary forms.  
Replacement of Mills Road Bridge Over French Creek, Spring 2020
The City of North Ridgeville obtained a grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Municipal Bridge Program to provide federal funding for a major portion of the costs to replace the Mills Road bridge over French Creek.  The project is in the preliminary design stage, and construction is estimated to begin in Spring of 2020.
