Most construction activities in North Ridgeville require plan approval and the issuance of permits by the city. Necessary applications and review processes vary depending on the type of project. Please note that beginning June 3, there will be some changes in how the city processes residential and commercial permits. Engineering permits will now be required for certain construction activities.

The Freedom Festival and Fireworks will be held at Victory Park Ohio, 7777 Victory Lane, North Ridgeville on Wednesday, July 3 from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. There will be activities, entertainment, food and beverages, and fireworks at approximately 10:00 p.m. Tickets are per vehicle and will be available for purchase online by visiting www.victoryparkohio.com

Norfolk Southern Railroad will be performing emergency repairs at three crossing locations beginning Monday, June 10. This will require road closures at each of the crossings for 1-2 days to perform the necessary work (weather/train traffic permitting). Chestnut Ridge Road crossing repairs are completed and the road is reopened. Race Road crossing closed on June 12 and will remain closed until further notice. While making repairs, the quiet zone equipment was damaged. These repairs are scheduled to take place the week of June 17. Root Road crossing will be scheduled at a later date. This schedule is subject to change without notice.
