The North Ridgeville Fire and Police Departments will be hosting the annual Open House & Safety Fair on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10 AM-2 PM at Fire Station #1, 7000 Ranger Way. Station tours, food, entertainment, touch-a-truck, kids firefighter combat challenge, Kasey Fire & Life Safety Dog, police officer with K-9, inflatables and bounce houses, emergency helicopter landing (weather permitting) and more. This is a free event.

Denes Concrete will begin work on August 8, 2022 at Fire Station No. 2 on Lorain Road to replace the concrete driveway and apron. Work will include removing the existing pavement, remediating unsuitable subgrade, installing an aggregate base and 8" of non-reinforced concrete pavement, installing under drains, installing a new catch basin and performing a storm sewer tap. The work is expected to be completed in three weeks (weather dependent). Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.

ISO (Insurance Services Office, Inc.) recently announced that the City of North Ridgeville’s fire insurance rating has improved. A fire score, or Public Protection Classification, is a score from 1 to 10 that indicates how well-protected a community is by its fire department, where a lower number is better.

Root Road will be closed at the railroad tracks on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 7 AM and will reopen at approximately 3 PM. The closure is necessary in order to make repairs to the quiet zone.  Please use an alternate route.
