Ridgeview Boulevard Pilot Project - REASSIGNED TO OPAL STREET (Revised 10-3-2019)

During the week of September 30, 2019 or the week of October 7, 2019, Pavement Technology, Inc. will be preparing a test area on Opal Street.  The area will be between Birch Street and the Ohio Edison transmission lines and is approximately 100 feet long by 10 feet wide.  The contractor will be spraying an application of Reclamite then a light coating of sand.  The test area will be coned off for 24 hours until dry.  Reclamite is an asphalt rejuvenator which will aide in preserving the life of the pavement.   It is estimated to give an additional 5-7 years of service to the life of the pavement.  The City's Engineering Department will be reviewing this area next year to observe the surface deterioration as it compares to the rest of the roadway.
