Free Blood Pressure Checks. First Wednesday of every month, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Drop in, no appointment needed, first come, first served.

Chair Yoga. Tuesdays, 10:00-11:00 a.m. Chair Yoga is perfect for all ages and abilities - no experience necessary. Chair yoga involves practicing poses sitting in a chair or standing and using it as support. The benefits of yoga include relaxation, calming, range of motion, stretching, muscle building and balance. You are always welcome to modify a pose, come out of a pose or take a break as needed. Cost is $24 for a four week session; $8 drop in fee.

Senior Fitness for Strength & Flexibility. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00-9:50 a.m. This class emphasizes strength, flexibility, posture and falls prevention. You will need to bring light weights (2 or 3 pounds) to class. Cost is $72 for 6 weeks (two days a week, $36 if you register for one day a week).

Exercise for Joint Health. Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. A fitness class designed to improve joint mobility, increase social interaction and muscular strength. All exercises are gentle to the joints and done in a chair. Cost is $36 for six weeks.

Cardio Drumming. Mondays at 11:00 a.m. in the Safetyville building. Cardio Drumming is quickly growing in popularity, and we are excited to offer this class. Participants are taken through routines using drumsticks in a variety of patterns to heart-pumping fun hits. You can do this activity standing or sitting in a chair. Reserve your space the Friday before class. There is a $2 drop-in fee.

Chair Volleyball. Second and fourth Mondays at 12:45 p.m. Join us for a spirited game of volleyball. We will divide into teams and let the fun begin. No prior experience necessary!

Monday Soup Lunch. Mondays at noon. Join us for a light soup lunch with dessert for only $2. RSVP required, quantities are limited.

Wednesday Lunch. Every Wednesday at noon, we serve a hot lunch with dessert for $5, followed by bingo, euchre and canasta. Advance registration required for lunch.

Bingo, Euchre & Canasta. Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.

Euchre, Pinochle and Dominos. Thursday afternoons. Start times may vary (12:00 or 12:30) depending on center activities that day, please check our calendar or call to confirm the start time.

Line Dancing. Beginning line dancing Wednesdays 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Cost $6 cash or check at the door. 

Mahjongg. Thursdays at noon. Mahjongg is an ancient Chinese tile game (similar to Gin Rummy).

Make It Monday. Mondays at 10:00 a.m. Join us for a weekly creative art expression activity. A complete list of projects is available in our newsletter. Registration required, space is limited.

Beginning Watercolors Class. Mondays 2:00-3:30 p.m. (April-December). If you would like to learn to paint with watercolors, this beginner class is for you. Karen Staszko, a professional artist with 30 years of experience, will provide all the instruction you need — no experience necessary. Students must provide their own supplies, a list is available at the Senior Center front desk, or it can be emailed to you. Cost is $45 for a six-week session.

Lunch and Bingo. Wednesdays at noon. Enjoy a hearty and heart-warming lunch for only $5. Bingo will follow at 12:30 p.m. Please call (440) 490-2056 to register for lunch.

Watercolor Painting Group. Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., at Community Cabin. Watercolor painting is offered as an open freestyle (no instructor) session for art enthusiasts to gather for a morning of painting and conversation. There is no formal instruction, but attendees assist one another with projects when needed. If interested, stop in with your paints, paper and inspiration.

Men’s Breakfast and Ladies’ Brunch. Come for a delicious breakfast/brunch, fellowship, socialization and entertainment, all for $4. See the calendar of events for dates and times. RSVP by calling (440) 490-2056.

Monthly Social Breakfast. Start off your weekend with our monthly social breakfast the second Friday of the month (check the calendar to confirm as sometimes there is an event or closure that requires us to schedule on a different day). You will receive an entrée, coffee and juice for $4. Registration required, space is limited.

Taco and Trivia Tuesdays. First and third Tuesdays, lunch starts at 12:00 p.m., trivia starts at 12:30 p.m. We offer a taco/Mexican themed lunch followed by several fun and rousing rounds of trivia. Each session will offer a variety of topics and themes. Bring a few friends to create a team, or participants can form a team on site. Lunch is $4. Please call (440) 490-2056 to reserve lunch and a spot for trivia. You do not need to come for lunch to participate in trivia.

Health Talks with Dr. Alexander Zolli. Join us on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. for an informative health talk. Dr. Zolli is the Surgeon-in-Residence at LCCC. Check the calendar for specific topics.

Senior Strong. Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Bob Piovarchy of the Far West Center facilitates this weekly group that discusses the puzzling situations in your life, current events and their impact, and helps build mental health resiliency.

Puzzle Exchange. Last Tuesday of the month from 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Come browse our puzzle collection and take up to three home to complete and return the following month.

Walking Warriors Outdoor Walking Group. Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m., May-October. This group walks in South Central Park and other local parks, all paces welcome. Check the calendar and our newsletter for locations.
