Non-perishable food items and new toys in original packaging are needed to help support North Ridgeville Community Care for the holidays. Drop off boxes are located at City Hall, Parks & Recreation and Senior Center. Items may be dropped off through November 29, 2024.
Public Survey: Regional Metroparks Trails Connectivity Study
Metroparks organizations for Lorain, Cuyahoga, Medina, Lake and Geauga counties are collaborating with the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) to develop a trail network that connects people throughout the region to opportunities, resources, jobs, destinations and each other. Help shape the future of our trails by taking the second survey and sharing your thoughts on creating better, safer trail options for everyone! The survey will remain open until December 20, 2024.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Service Line Inventory
The USEPA Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) require water systems to create, maintain, and submit inventories that include all service line materials in the distribution system, including both customer and utility owned service lines. Each service line and/or sides of the service line must be classified as: lead (LSL), galvanized requiring replacement (GRR), non-lead, or lead status unknown (unknown). The Public Water Systems must make a portion of their inventory publicly available.
North Ridgeville Heart & Sole Indoor Walking Program Resumes
North Ridgeville Heart & Sole collaborative is hosting indoor walking four days a week this fall and winter. Residents are invited to keep active and walk indoors at the LCCC University Partnership Ridge Campus and at Liberty Elementary School.
Maddock Road Bridge Replacement Project
The Maddock Road Bridge Replacement Project is expected to begin October 21, 2024. Maddock Road will be closed at the bridge for approximately 60 days (weather permitting) to facilitate the work.
Dementia Friends Education Session, November 7, 2024
Did you know that North Ridgeville is a Dementia-Friendly community? As part of ongoing efforts to educate and inform the community at-large, education and resource information sessions are being held throughout the year. The next one hour session, free and open to the public, will be held Thursday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. at the Senior Center.
Stoney Ridge, Mills and Avalon Roundabout Project to Begin September 9
KMU Trucking & Excavating will begin construction of the peanut-shaped roundabout at the intersection of Stoney Ridge Road, Mills Road and Avalon Drive on Monday, September 9, 2024 requiring road closures.
Chestnut Ridge Road Bridge Replacement Project To Begin September 16
The Lorain County Engineer’s Office has engaged Great Lakes Demolition Company to replace the Chestnut Ridge Road bridge over the Dixon Ditch, just east of the Root Road intersection. To perform the work, the road will be closed beginning September 16, 2024 for a period of 75 days. Detour signs are posted.
Street Repairs and Paving 2024 (Revised 10-16-2024)
After careful review of the Pavement Condition Rating (PCR) report, the city has identified those streets to be repaved this year within the allocated budget. The PCR report includes condition assessments, identification of priority areas and maintenance and rehabilitation recommendations for the entire city network of streets, with the exception of interstate highways.

Longbow/Crossbow Deer Hunting Land Registration Underway for 2024-2025
For those wishing to register their land for the 2024-2025 longbow/crossbow deer hunting season in the city of North Ridgeville (starting September 28, 2024 and ending February 2, 2025) you will need to submit the required land registration application to the Police Department by mail: North Ridgeville Police Department, 7070 Ranger Way, North Ridgeville, OH 44039 or by email to [email protected].
