City of North Ridgeville

Mayor's Message

Mayor Kevin Corcoran
With spring in full swing, the city is bustling with new projects, new businesses and new energy. Dayton Freight’s 124,000 square foot trucking facility began its North Ridgeville operations on April 15. Also last month, plans were approved by Planning Commission for a new sustainable manufacturing company which will locate right next door on Taylor Parkway. I’ve enjoyed meeting with new business owners at recent ribbon cuttings for Niko’s Gyro’s To Go and Jenni Pops. And of course, we hosted our own grand opening event for the new North Ridgeville Police Station on April 27, which was a fun and festive day for the community to see inside our new facilities and interact with our police department personnel.

We’ve also been spring cleaning and making other improvements to our city properties. We’ve spruced up city hall and other locations in town with new landscaping. And, importantly, we continue to make progress on repair and restoration work at Old Town Hall. Exterior painting of this historical building began in April and roofing repairs are slated to follow.

Finally, this spring is a time to recognize the care and commitment of the remarkable women in our community. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there. Thank you for all you do!

Sincerely,

Coffee and Conversation with the Mayor
