Cops and Kids
During the holiday / Christmas season, our officers and dispatchers take North Ridgeville kids on a shopping spree so that they can buy items that they may need or want or Christmas gifts for their loved ones. We will take them to breakfast and lunch and they will be taken shopping in a caravan of police cars. It’s really a once in a lifetime event for the children.

We have partnered up with Avon PD and other Lorain County agencies and take the kids to Meijer’s in Avon. Meijer’s has also given a generous donation toward this event. If you’d like to donate to this wonderful annual event, you can make a cash donation or a check made out to the North Ridgeville Police Association. Any donation is always appreciated and no donation is too small.

Annual Pete Soto Chili Cook-Off
The North Ridgeville Police Department is proud to participate in the Annual Pete Soto Chili Cook-Off. All proceeds of this event benefit The Lorain County Blue Foundation; a non-profit organization established to assist families of officers down or critically injured in the line of duty.
Kiwanis 'n Cops 'n Kids Story Time
North Ridgeville Police Department teams up with the Kiwanis Club of North Ridgeville for a community helpers-themed story time, craft and activities. Each family received a special book courtesy of the Kiwanis Club.

First Responders and Community Trunk or Treat
North Ridgeville Police Department participated in the annual Trunk or Treat with other Northern Ohio law enforcement officers, medics, firefighters and more.

2020 Shoe Drive
Shoe Drive
Police departments across Lorain County joined forces to help collect new, used and gently worn shoes for its Frontline United Initiative. The shoe drive was a 60-day fundraiser to collect shoes that will be donated to impoverished countries. The Frontline United Initiative will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods.

OUR SHOE DRIVE WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS! We want to thank our community for helping to contribute to our shoe drive success. We could not have done this without all of you! North Ridgeville brought in 205 bags of shoes. That’s 5,125 pairs of shoes! The original goal was just 100 bags. WITH YOUR HELP, WE DOUBLED THE GOAL, AND THEN SOME.

1st place: North Ridgeville Police Department: 1,643 pairs
