City Offices Closed City Hall Holiday Closures
City Hall offices will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1 in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Happy Holidays!
 
Water Meter Replacement Project Important Message from Public Utilities
North Ridgeville is upgrading water meters to advanced technology for better efficiency and resource management. The city has partnered with Utility Metering Solutions (UMS) to install these new meters . 
 
Active Transportation Plan Active Transportation Plan and Safe Routes to School Plan
After a ten-month planning process, the citywide Active Transportation Plan and Safe Routes to School Plan are complete. Project funding was provided by NOACA, and the studies were developed by a consultant team with input from staff, the public and a steering committee of community stakeholders.
 
Parks and Recreation Commission Vacancy Parks and Recreation Commission Vacancy
The North Ridgeville Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Commission. Interested residents should complete the Application for Membership and email directly to Parks & Recreation Director Kevin Fougerousse at [email protected]. The deadline to submit an application is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Civil Service Commission is offering open, competitive written examinations to establish an eligibility list for both entry level Patrol Officer Class D and entry level Firefighter/Paramedic Class D positions. 
 
Refuse Rate Increase Refuse Rate Increase
Starting with the November 2024 billing, the monthly refuse rate will increase to $24.47. Please note that refuse is billed in advance and will be for services rendered in December 2024.

Heart & Sole Indoor Walking North Ridgeville Heart & Sole Indoor Walking Program Resumes
North Ridgeville Heart & Sole collaborative is hosting indoor walking four days a week this fall and winter. Residents are invited to keep active and walk indoors at the LCCC University Partnership Ridge Campus and at Liberty Elementary School. 
 
Maddock Road Bridge Maddock Road Bridge Replacement Project
The Maddock Road Bridge Replacement Project is expected to begin October 21, 2024. Maddock Road will be closed at the bridge for approximately 60 days (weather permitting) to facilitate the work. 
 
Roundabout Construction Road Closures Stoney Ridge, Mills and Avalon Roundabout Project to Begin September 9
KMU Trucking & Excavating will begin construction of the peanut-shaped roundabout at the intersection of Stoney Ridge Road, Mills Road and Avalon Drive on Monday, September 9, 2024 requiring road closures.

CPR Fire Department Offers CPR Classes
The North Ridgeville Fire Department is offering the Family & Friends CPR course and the CPR/Basic Life Support Certification class. 
 
Land Registration Underway Longbow/Crossbow Deer Hunting Land Registration Underway for 2024-2025
For those wishing to register their land for the 2024-2025 longbow/crossbow deer hunting season in the city of North Ridgeville (starting September 28, 2024 and ending February 2, 2025) you will need to submit the required land registration application to the Police Department by mail: North Ridgeville Police Department, 7070 Ranger Way, North Ridgeville, OH 44039 or by email to [email protected].
