CodeRED Emergency/Weather/General Messaging Alerts
The Lorain County Office of Emergency Management migrated to a new emergency/weather alerting software on April 1, 2025. The City of North Ridgeville also uses this software to send out messages to subscribers related to emergencies and general messaging for road closures, water main breaks, etc.

If you subscribed prior to April 1, 2025 to receive such messages or are interested in subscribing to receive alerts, you are asked to create a CodeRED account. By creating an account, you will be able to select how you want to receive alerts (email, text, voice). You will also be able to select the type of alerts/messages you want to receive. For example, you can choose Emergency Alerts, then click ADD or EDIT TOPIC to add Non-Emergency Alerts, Traffic and Water Alerts and Severe Weather Alerts. You may also opt to receive notifications for North Ridgeville, the County and other surrounding cities and townships. After you've made your selections, remember to SAVE them before you sign out. By creating this account with a username and password, you are able to return at any time to update your information or change your selections.
