Proper Disposal of Wipes and Other Non-Flushables
As our community takes extra precautions necessary to protect our health and slow the spread of COVID-19, be mindful of where you dispose of your cleaning products.  Please do NOT put disposable wipes in the toilet as they are not flushable - even if packaging says they are.  Put these items in the trash. Disposable wipes and other non-flushables such as paper towels, disposable diapers and feminine products can potentially clog our septic tanks, sanitary sewers and overburden our wastewater treatment plants.  Additionally, they may contain synthetic materials and chemical agents which can harm wildlife and put a strain on the treatment process which helps make our water drinkable.
