ODOT Update: Route 83 & Center Ridge Road
Starting April 11, 2019, crews will be saw cutting across the intersection at Route 83 on the south side of the street. This is prep work for the construction that will begin Monday, April 15, 2019 to include storm sewer installation.  There will be flaggers and police at this intersection during morning and afternoon peak hours; however, expect lengthy delays.

The intersection of US 20 and Route 83 will see major impacts this season. The eastbound US 20 designated right turn lane to SR 83 is currently closed. Motorists will still be able to turn south onto SR 83. The westbound designated right turn lane to SR 83 north and the SR 83 designated left turn lanes to US 20 will close on Monday, April 15, 2019. Motorists should expect increased congestion at this intersection as construction activity increases. We ask that you use an alternate route when possible.

*** SPECIAL LOGISTICS MESSAGE ***
  • Due to the upcoming work at the Route 83 and Center Ridge Road intersection, ODOT and the City of North Ridgeville would like to ask those businesses that have deliveries for semi-tractor trailers to advise them of the construction and maybe find an alternative route to their establishment. We realize that at times it may be unavoidable. Our goal is try to relieve some of the possible delays during peak hours.  Traffic lanes will be shorten to 10 foot lanes and semi-tractor trailers may find it difficult to make the turns.
