Patriot Day We Will Never Forget
The City of North Ridgeville, in cooperation with the North Ridgeville City Schools and Board of Education, will hold a special memorial service on Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 8:30 AM.  The service will be held at the Ranger Stadium, 34600 Bainbridge Road, North Ridgeville.

September 11 will mark the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks on our country. The public is encouraged to attend this memorial service for all those who tragically gave their lives. Mayor Kevin Corcoran will be the keynote speaker and North Ridgeville City Schools Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio will serve as the emcee. Event highlights include a moment of silence at 8:46 AM, the actual time the first plane struck the World Trade Center; Police and Fire Honor Guards will conduct Flag Detail; Invocation by Pastor Kevin Crow; Rifle Volley by VFW Post 9871; Taps performed by retired firefighter Lou Simonyi; North Ridgeville High School Choir will lead the audience in patriotic songs; and, North Ridgeville residents Tony and Donna Cioffoletti, originally from New York with family members who experienced firsthand the horror of that day, will recite a patriotic poem.

Safety vehicles used by the North Ridgeville Police and Fire Departments will also be on display.  Some of the actual equipment used by the Fire Department of New York at the World Trade Center will also be available for viewing.

This event will be held rain or shine and the entire community is encouraged to attend.
