Maddock Road Bridge Replacement Project

The City has retained Cole Excavating, LLC for the replacement of the Maddock Road Bridge over the Watson Ditch. The bridge is located approximately 1,200’ south of Center Ridge Road. The project includes the removal of the existing structure and replacement with a 3-sided box culvert bridge to include new footers, headwalls and wingwalls. The span of the ditch will increase from 7’ to 10’ to provide more capacity for the Watson Ditch. Additional work includes the relocation of the water main, grading, and pavement improvements. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 21, 2024. Maddock Road will be closed at the bridge for the approximately 60 calendar days, weather permitting.

In the unlikely event that a train is stopped at the Maddock Road railroad crossing, a temporary access road has been constructed to allow for emergency services to have access to residents and businesses south of the closure. Please be aware that this access road is for emergency vehicles only.
