Norfolk Southern To Perform Work on Railroad Crossings (Updated 7-28-2021)

Norfolk Southern Railroad will be performing railroad maintenance activities at each of the railroad crossings starting at Chestnut Ridge Road and heading west to Root Road, Maddock Road and Race Road beginning the week of July 19, 2021 (schedule is subject to change without notice).  Each crossing may be closed for 24-48 hours to perform the necessary work.  See the detour maps below. 

Update 7-27-2021:  Root Road and Maddock Road is open to thru traffic. Race Road at the railroad tracks remain closed for maintenance.

Update 7-26-2021:  Norfolk Southern has reported Root Road will be paved on Monday, July 26 and will reopen on Tuesday, July 27. Chestnut Ridge Road has been reopened. Maddock Road and Race Road at the railroad crossings are still closed with work scheduled the week of July 26 (schedule is subject to change without notice).
