Aurensen Road/Safe Routes to School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The City of North Ridgeville is pleased to announce a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the installation of sidewalks as a result of the Safe Routes to School Program and mini-grant from the Lorain County General Health District. Sidewalks were installed in the areas of Liberty and Wilcox Elementary Schools and Aurensen Road to increase sidewalk usage, improve health and reduce chronic illness.  Secondary sponsors of the project include the Lorain Public Library System/North Ridgeville Branch Library and North Ridgeville City Schools which will also benefit from the new sidewalks and additional accessibility to their buildings.

Join Mayor Dave Gillock, North Ridgeville City Schools Superintendent Dr. James Powell, North Ridgeville Branch Librarian Supervisor Karen Sigsworth and Lorain County General Health District Commissioner David Covell on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Aursensen Road (near the intersection of Noll Drive) to take part in the celebration. Following the ceremony, attendees will walk to South Central Park Gazebo to enjoy the North Ridgeville High School band and then proceed across the street to the North Ridgeville Branch Library to partake in planned activities.
