UPDATE: UBILL Credit
Card Payments
The North Ridgeville Utilities Department would like to sincerely apologize to ALL of our faithful UBILL customers that may have experienced some trouble while attempting to make credit card payments over the past week of Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17. Unfortunately, while in the process of some banking changes, our credit card portal on the UBILL website was temporarily unavailable and this may have caused your credit card payment to be ‘Declined’ or simply not go through as usual. The issue was more than likely not your credit card at all but the fact that the UBILL credit card portal was temporarily unavailable. We’re happy to report that the credit card portal
has been reactivated, so customers may begin using their credit cards
for utility payments again. Fortunately,
eCheck payments were NOT affected by
the credit card portal closing at all and would’ve all processed as
they normally do.
Unfortunately, if you had an
‘Auto-Pay’ scheduled but it didn’t process on the date that you had requested,
you may have been instructed that you wouldn’t need to do anything and that
UBILL would be pushing those payments through on the next business day. Unfortunately, we were given incorrect
information so ALL payments, whether they were scheduled ‘Auto-Pays’ or
‘One-Time Payments,’ will need to be resubmitted on the UBILL site by the
customer.
If you attempted a credit card
payment with either a scheduled ‘Auto-Pay’ or ‘One-Time Payment,’ you may also
wait until you receive your November 30, 2017 utility bill and allow both
payments to be charged to your credit card account at the scheduled ‘Auto-Pay’
time in December 2017. There will be NO
‘Late Fees’ or ‘Penalties’ of any kind for customers that had ‘Auto-Pay’
scheduled prior to Monday, November 20, 2017 or had attempted to make a
‘One-Time Payment’ via ‘Pay Now’ on the UBILL site or by phone prior to Monday,
November 20, 2017.
Again, we sincerely apologize for
any inconvenience or confusion that this temporary suspension of credit card
services for utility payments have caused any of our loyal customers and we
want to thank you all very much for your patience and understanding during what
was a very difficult and frustrating week for all involved or affected. Of course, if you have any questions or
concerns regarding your payment this month or on this matter in general, please
call the Utilities Department at 353-0841 and we’ll be happy to discuss them
with you.
Thank you again as we extend our
very Best Wishes to you and your family for a Happy Thanksgiving!
