Railroad Crossing at Race Road Closed
On Tuesday, May 27, 2014 (weather permitting), the railroad crossing at Race Road will be closed at 8:00 AM for replacing railroad ties, the vehicle detection system, resurfacing of the roadway pavement, and other needed repairs. The crossing will re-open at approximately 8:00 AM on Tuesday, June 4, 2014. Please use alternative routes. Traffic is being detoured to Center Ridge Road to SR 57 to Sugar Ridge Road. Local traffic may also use Bender Road to Chestnut Ridge Road to Avon Belden Road to Sugar Ridge Road (see maps below - local detour map and SR 57 detour map). Work is being performed by Norfolk Southern Railroad Corporation and Campbell Technology Corporation. The City of North Ridgeville apologizes for any inconvenience.
