North Ridgeville Ranked Fourth Best Place for Homeownership in Ohio
NerdWallet considers availability, affordability and growth
San Francisco, CA (July 15, 2014) – NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy website, recently conducted a study to find the best places for homeownership in Ohio – we analyzed the data for 183 communities and North Ridgeville ranked among the top five.
As renting becomes less affordable, NerdWallet wanted to give potential homebuyers a look at the current housing market. NerdWallet based its rankings on the following criteria:
NerdWallet ranked North Ridgeville as the fourth best place in Ohio for homeownership. The area has a homeownership rate of 87.8%, and median monthly homeowner costs are $1,454. North Ridgeville grew by 4.4% between 2010 and 2012.
Located commuting distance from Cleveland, North Ridgeville finds its niche as a town with a high rate of homeownership located near a cluster of educational institutions. In addition to a host of colleges in Cleveland, North Ridgeville is less than 30 miles from Oberlin, Case Western Reserve University and Lorain County Community College. St. Peter School and Lake Ridge Academy also call North Ridgeville home.
