The City of North Ridgeville Utilities Department provides billing services for water, sanitary sewer, refuse and recycling collection to nearly 11,500 accounts. There is nearly 300 miles of water lines in the city to service these customers and the sanitary sewer is handled by the city owned French Creek Wastewater Treatment plant located in Sheffield Village. 
    Water meters are read and billed on a monthly basis for all residential and commercial customers. City wide refuse collection is every Tuesday beginning at 6:00 AM and includes a "Blue Bag" recycling program.  In addition, there is also a "Yard Waste" recycling program that runs from the third full week in April through the third full week in November each year. Christmas trees will be collected the first week in January.
    Our office, which is located inside City Hall, is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Items that are available to all residents upon request include copies of our water and/or sewer rates, brochures pertaining to our "Blue Bag" and "Yard Waste" recycling programs and information about deduct water meters for outside water usage. There is also additional information pertaining to new customer water tap-ins and refuse collection available upon request.
