The French Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant is wholly owned and operated by the citizens of North Ridgeville, and is located at 2350 Abbe Rd in Sheffield, Ohio. The plant serves North Ridgeville, Avon and Sheffield, Ohio through main underground interceptor sewer lines. The plant also accepts waste from septic tank cleaning firms, local industry and other sewer and water treatment facilities in the area. By aggressively seeking sanitary flows outside our normal service area, we have managed to hold rates steady for the past 17 years. North Ridgeville will take full ownership of the sewer treatment facility in the latter part of 2008, as all notes will then be paid in full. The French Creek Wastewater Treatment plant was built in 1975 by the Ohio Water Development Authorities (OWDA) and purchased by the City of North Ridgeville in 1983. While the plant is now 23 years old, North Ridgeville has continually upgraded and maintained operations of the plant. We have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to insure that we remain current with technology and in compliance with ever changing environmental guidelines. The French Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant is poised to serve its growing customer base well into the future with safe, sanitary and cost effective treatment of sewage.
